IMPORTANT TO EXHIBITORS:
1. The fields have been judged previously
2. Please take note the specifications of the samples required to be judged.
3. Judging will take place on Thursday, September 22ND at 10:00 sharp. The samples are to be brought in the night before between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to the Exhibit Hall.
4. Sample bags may be picked up at the fair office during office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. before Wednesday the 21ST
5. PASSES: Field Crops, Maple Syrup, Honey, Wine, Beer, Grains, Seeds, Vegetables, Fruits, Flowers, Domestic Science, Sewing & Crafts – Less than 10 articles exhibited – pass for Sunday only. Ten articles or more, a weekend pass if over twelve years of age.

SECTION
1. Mixed hay – 80% legume, 20% grasses. Exhibit to be a sample of dry hay (first cut). Possible score: 100 points for field, 25 points for the sample.
2. Grass Hay – New Class – starting in 2012 (No Entries for 2011)
3. Ensilage corn – exhibit to be six stalks of corn. Possible score: 100 points for field, 25 points for stalks.
4. Grain corn – exhibit to be 6 ears of corn. Possible score: 100 points for field, 25 points for the ears.
5. Mixed grain – exhibit to be a 2 lb. sample. Possible score: 100 points for field, 25 points for the sample.
6. Barley – exhibit to be a 2 lbs. sample. Possible score: 100 points for field, 25 points for the sample.
7. Soybeans – Possible Score: 100 points for field, 25 points for the sample – to be shown as a sheaf. Six in a sheaf with the root system on.
8. Wheat – Possible Score: 100 points for field, 25 points for the sample – exhibit to be a 2 lbs. sample
TROPHIES & SPONSORS
GRAHAM ARMSTRONG MEMORIAL TROPHY
A trophy and voucher will be awarded to the entrant with the highest combined total of two field scores, any of the crops. The sample scores do not count toward this trophy. It is based solely on the field score. Donated by Blair Armstrong, Donnie Cavanagh, & Paul Caldwell.
A trophy will be donated by John Herrick, Kinburn Farm Supply, Kinburn, to the exhibitor with the highest score for any three fields & samples judged in this department.
Grand Champion Barley –Sponsored in part and a trophy and voucher donated by Carp Flour Mills, Carp, to the overall winner of the three barley classes – Field Crops, Grains & Seeds, and 4-H.
Pickseed, Karl Brodersen, Carp, will donate a bag of alfalfa seed and a trophy to the winner of the mixed hay class.
