Carp Fair’s new website now allows for exhibitors to register online. Please click on the ‘Register Online’ link and follow the steps to register your exhibits for the Fair.
Important to Exhibitors:
1. Ages of the riders will be determined as of January 1st of the current year.
2. Under no circumstances will classes be delayed for exhibitors who are delayed by cross entries.
3. All exhibitors are to be dressed in clean suitable attire. Hard hats to be worn in hunter classes and Juniors must have chin strap done up at all times.
4. Any person who interferes with or attempts to influence a Judge or Official while in the discharge of his or her duties, or who shall at any time, on the premises, use any contemptuous or abusive language to any Judge or Official within his or her hearing in consequence of any award made by him or her, or any exhibitor refusing to accept any award made by a Judge, shall forfeit his or her right to any premiums to which they might otherwise be entitled and may be prohibited from exhibiting for up to 5 years thereafter. Judges are particularly requested to report any offender in this direction.
5. Exhibitors may be requested to show proof of a negative coggins test for the current year for all horses and ponies being shown.
6. Ring numbers can be picked up at ringside before the show begins.
7.Exhibitors must show proof of liability insurance for the current year for all animals being shown. This is to accompany the entry forms and the entry forms will not be processed until this is received. Exhibitors should be aware that their OEF membership insurance only insures the member. If someone other than the member rides or drives their horse in a class, the OEF insurance is not valid. If that occurs, other proof of insurance must be provided with the entry papers.
8. Each exhibitor must use a separate entry form. Extra copies may be obtained from the office.
9. Joint ownership is permitted in pair classes.
10. The show committee reserves the right to withdraw any single class with less than three entries or any team class with less than two entries entered as of noon on the Thursday preceding the fair.
11. Entries close on Friday, September 9th, 2011, 4:00 p.m. Entries will not be taken over the phone, but may be faxed to 613-839-1961. Late entry fees WILL be charged if entries arrive after the deadline.
12. All exhibitors must be members of the Society in order to exhibit.
13. PARKING ON FAIR GROUNDS LIMITED TO TRAILERS AND TOWING VEHICLES. ALL OTHER VEHICLES MUST PARK IN THE PUBLIC PARKING AREAS. ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE WITH THE ANIMALS AS THIS WILL BE THE ONLY VEHICLE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS.

1. Membership for all exhibitors to the Carp Agricultural Society is required for this show.
2. Exhibitors must provide proof of liability insurance with entries. If this is not provided, the exhibitor will not be allowed to show.
3.Entries must be post marked on or before Friday, September 9th, 2011. Entry Fee: $ 6.00 for all classes. Late entry fee is $10.00 per class paid at ring-side (cash only). GST is not included. Late entries must be made at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of class.
4. Any disputes – the final decision will be made by a representative of the Carp Agricultural Society.
5. All equipment must be with the animals as this will be the only vehicle allowed on the grounds.
** PLEASE NOTE – we will be using a 2 ring system. The Western Games Classes will be run at 9:00 a.m. in conjunction with the Performance Classes.
