Join our Annual General Meeting. Doors and registration open at 6:30 pm. All are welcome to attend. Only members who have been in good standing for the previous two calendar years and who have paid their membership for the current year may vote at the AGM. New Members welcome.

Our Current Openings

We’re looking for a proactive and organized Office Administrator to lead the daily operations of the CAS. This is a full-time role that requires flexibility, especially around major events like the Carp Fair. You’ll be the central point of contact for all administrative, financial, and operational matters, working closely with the Board of Directors, contractors, and volunteers.
About Us:
The Carp Agricultural Society is a vibrant, community-focused non-profit organization best known for organizing the annual Carp Fair – “The Best Little Fair in Canada.” Rooted in tradition and dedicated to showcasing rural life, agriculture, and community spirit, we take pride in delivering high-quality events that bring people together.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day office and fairground operations
Manage venue bookings, payments, and contractor coordination
Handle all financial tasks including QuickBooks, bill payments, banking, audits, and reports
Assist in planning and execution of CAS events and the Carp Fair
Apply for permits, licenses, grants, and funding
Act as signing authority and ensure compliance with not-for-profit regulations
Support the Board with meeting agendas, minutes, and communications
Maintain the CAS calendar, event schedules, and bar staffing logistics
Represent CAS professionally within the community and industry, including the annual OAAS convention
Qualifications & Skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Financial literacy and experience with QuickBooks
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
Proficient in MS Office, social media, CRM or event management software (e.g., AssistExpo)
Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills
Able to work evenings and weekends as required

Great fair! Went with my husband and our two year old. Our toddler loved it and there was alot for him to do! We went on a Saturday their busy time and the lines weren't bad at all. We walked from their free parking lot to the fair itself, it's a bit of a walk but faster than taking their busses We got there before the two busses that were already on the road did.
